General Incentives

The awarding of incentives for difficult to fill Health Professional positions is based on vacancies that exist within each Regional Health Authority (RHA).  Bursaries are available to students in their final year of study who sign a service agreement  and Sign on Bonuses (UNDER REVIEW -Program currently on hold) are available to experienced Health Professionals who sign a service agreement

Bursary Program for Difficult to Fill Health Professional Positions (Under Review)

Deadline: January 31st of each year or 3 months prior to graduation, whichever occurs first.

 The bursaries are as follows:

                    Labrador:  $10,000 bursary with an eighteen month service agreement

The rest of the Province, with the exception of Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy in St. John’s: $10,000 bursary with a twenty-four month service agreement, or $5,000  with a twelve month service agreement. Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Bursaries in St. John's: $3,000 with a  twelve month service agreement.
