Dr. A.A. Wilkinson Memorial Hospital

Eastern Health is seeking a General Practitioner for the Dr. A.A. Wilkinson Memorial Hospital in Old Perlican, NL. The A. A. Wilkinson Memorial Health Centre provides a 4-bed in-patient service to the residents of Old Perlican and surrounding area. Routine laboratory and radiology testing is available, along with mobile ultrasound. Patients have access to allied health professionals from Carbonear General Hospital (the regional referral center) which is an 80-bed acute care facility located in the town of Carbonear. The services of the Carbonear General Hospital include General Medicine, Internal Medicine, General Surgery including laparoscopic surgery, obstetrics, gynaecology, gastroenterology, anesthesiology, radiology, pathology, ear, nose and throat, palliative care and community-based psychiatric services. Additional services are provided by visiting consultants in paediatrics, neurology, nephrology and ophthalmology.

Assistance with relocation, licensure and immigration concerns. An annual retention bonus increases from annually over a 36 month period.

Physicians must be eligible for full or provisional licensure by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador.
