The Western Regional Integrated Health Authority
is seeking a General Practitioner to fill an immediate opening at Rufus
Guinchard Health Centre in Port Saunders, Newfoundland on a permanent
full-time basis.
Rufus Guinchard Health Centre is located in Port Saunders, overlooking
the sea on the Great Northern Peninsula offering the area’s 3600
residents a modern, 30-bed facility.
The successful incumbent would work in association with two other
General Practitioners as well as two full-time Nurse Practitioners.
The Health Centre provides the services of family physicians,
nurse practitioners, as well as acute and long term in-patient care and
diagnostic services.
Rufus Guinchard Health Care Centre is part of Memorial University’s
telemedicine conferencing system, allowing physicians and other health
professionals to continue learning through distance education programs.
You can explore walking trails that skirt the coastline and take
in the view of the lighthouse on Kepple Island.
Winter activities include ice fishing, snowmobiling and cross
country skiing.
Interested applicants must be eligible for registration with the
Newfoundland Medical Board, and satisfy credentialing requirements of
the Western Regional Integrated Health Authority.
Physicians interested in providing long term locum coverage will also be
considered.
