The Western Regional Integrated Health Authority
is seeking a GP/Anesthetist to fill an immediate vacancy at the Dr.
Charles LeGrow Health Care Centre in Port aux Basques,
Newfoundland
on a permanent full time basis.
The successful incumbent will provide out patient and in patient service
along with anesthesia service for limited emergency and minor elective
surgeries. The incumbent
will also provide on-call duties on a rotation with other General
Practitioners at the site, traveling clinics and critical escort duties,
when required.
The Dr.
Charles LeGrow Health Centre, located on
Newfoundland
’s southwest coast, is a modern, 44-bed
District
Hospital
. Port aux Basques is the
home of the Marine Atlantic Gulf Ferry Service and is known as the
Gateway to the Province. With
a population of 5,700, the town’s modern facilities provide the best
in business, mercantile, education and recreational service to the
residents. The hospital
itself, serves a catchment population of approximately 13,000.
Interested applicants must be eligible for registration with the
Newfoundland Medical Board
, under the GP/Anesthesia guidelines and satisfy credentialing
requirements of the Western Regional Integrated Health Authority.
